Public art and street art Tour Rotterdam

In the field of art in public spaces and street art, Rotterdam has been working hard in recent years. In this tour you will see a large collection of sculptures and street paintings by international artists. In this two-hour tour you will walk past about 40 works of art.

The Art & Street Art Walk takes you right through the center of Rotterdam past numerous appealing works of art by Picasso, Willem de Kooning, Lastpak & Friends (winner of the Dutch Street Art Award), the Rotterdam artist Joep van Lieshout and the internationally renowned Iranian brothers ICY & SOT. From the recently placed statue Moments Contained to the controversial Santa Claus and the tourist magnet Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen. This tour is also recommended for people who already know Rotterdam well and like to be surprised.

What will you see in the art tour?

The route takes you through the Central District, where Rotterdam’s cultural and creative entrepreneurs are completely at home. This is also reflected in the large number of murals that can be found here. The colourful West-Kruiskade is a true open-air temple for street art. The walk also follows the Beeldenroute Westersingel, which forms the cultural axis of Rotterdam with its many works of art. The tour continues the route through the most vibrant part of Rotterdam, the Witte de Withstraat and the Museumpark with its eye-catcher Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen.

Zeer mooie en boeiende mix streetart- en architectuurwandeling

12 januari hadden wij, groep van 6 vrouwen, een wandeling geboekt bij City Rotterdam Tours. Tijdens het aardige boekingsgesprek werd ik gewezen op het feit dat we 2 wandelingen konden combineren. Daarnaast konden we bepalen waar we wilden beginnen en eindigen met de wandeling. Wat een luxe. Gids Frank heeft ons 2 uur lang in de greep gehouden met boeiende verhalen over street art en haar betekenis en de architectuur in Rotterdam, en de steeds veranderende plannen voor de inrichting van het centrum in Rotterdam. Een betere ambassadeur voor de stad kan Rotterdam zich niet wensen! Erg genoten, dik compliment aan Frank, en organisatie City Rotterdam Tours.
